MLK Memorial in Boston: We need to be heard!
March 19, 2018 6:00 PM
Being the the place where Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King spent their college and young adult years is such an important part of Boston’s history. It’s time Boston has its own memorial to honor the Kings’ legacy like many other cities around the world. For this project to be successful, the voice of the community must be heard on a range of critical topics. Concerns such as how to: obtain a world-class artist, the best location(s) for the memorial, the memorial’s message, the best and most inclusive way to raise funds for the project, and how to create programming that will make this a living effort for what the Kings represented to the world.
We invite you to take part in the development and planning process. To learn more about this project, visit our website and Facebook for regular updates.
