Coming up: the Felipe Salles Quartet at the Dot Jazz Series on Thursday 2/12!
A native of São Paulo, Brazil, the saxophonist, flutist and composer has been a professor of Jazz and African American Music at UMass Amherst since 2010.
He has performed and recorded with many prominent jazz artists and toured extensively around the world as a sideman and as a leader of his own groups. His compositions and arrangements for jazz ensembles of all sizes, symphonies and chamber ensembles have been performed by some of the top groups in the world.
For this Dot Jazz Series concert, he’ll be joined by pianist Nando Michelin, bassist Keala Kaumeheiwa and drummer Bertram Lehmann to perform music from his most recent recording, Camera Obscura, released on the Tapestry label in June 2025.
$15 in advance, $20 at the door. Students $10. $5 for EBT/WIC card holders. Kids under 18 free at the door.
